CHARLESTOWN, Mass. ---- The Brockton trio of Natascha Elias, Geornaisha Silva-Moore and Tatiana Dias combined for 73 points as the Massasoit women's basketball team picked up its first win of the season, defeating Bunker Hill, 87-45 on the road Thursday night.

Elias poured in a career-high 31 points, including a blistering 7-for-11 from 3-point range. She finished 12-of-17 from the floor for the game.

Silva-Moore was not far behind in the scoring category, totaling 24 points, and added three rebounds and four assists. She drained a trio of 3s as Massasoit sank a season-high 12 3-pointers for the contest.

Rounding out the trio was Tatiana Dias, who posted her first career double-double in the victory, with 18 points and 10 assists. She also added six boards.

"We were hot right out of the gate," head coach Taryn Johnson said. "We just couldn't miss early on. We were up 12-0 in the first two minutes and kept building off that lead. We fell into some foul trouble at the end of the first and beginning of second quarter, but other than that I thought we really played well."

Massasoit (1-3) started the contest on a 24-3 run, featuring four 3-pointers, and never looked back. Silva-Moore netted 16 in the first quarter alone as the Warriors made eight treys in the opening period.

The hot shooting led to a 57-23 lead at the half.

In addition, the swarming Massasoit defense forced Bunker Hill into committing 36 turnovers.

Cynthia Laing chipped with eight points off the bench for the Warriors.
