BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Geornaisha Silva-Moore (Brockton) poured in a game-high 28 points, but the UCAP Pointers topped the Massasoit women's basketball team, 84-62 in the home opener on Saturday.
Silva-Moore shot 11-for-19 from the field, including 5-of-9 from downtown en route to her career-high 28 points.
Tatiana Dias (Brockton) also posted a career-high point total, netting 15 and added five assists.
Laura Malley (Halifax) finished a point shy of a double-double, scoring nine points and grabbing 11 boards in the loss.
UCAP finished with three players in double figures, led by Jess Korzec's 25.
Massasoit trailed 36-14 at the half.
The Warriors (0-3) return to the hardwood with a road game at Bunker Hill on Thursday at 6 p.m.
