NEW HAVEN, Conn. ---- The Massasoit women's basketball team mounted a second half comeback but could not overcome a large first half deficit, falling to Gateway CC, 68-51, on Saturday afternoon.

Tiana McQueen (Mattapan) and Marrissa Spivey (Brockton) each finished with double-doubles in the loss. McQueen topped the team with 17 points and 13 boards, while Spivey finished with 11 points and 11 boards.

Olivia Curtin (Abington) pulled down 12 boards and finished with a career-high six points.

Massasoit returns to the court on Tuesday, Feb. 10, hosting Dean College at 6 p.m.
