NHTI Takes Two From Massasoit Softball

CONCORD, N.H. ---- New Hampshire Technical Institute captured both ends of a doubleheader against the Massasoit softball team, winning 8-0 in both contests on Sunday afternoon.

Massasoit's next game is on Tuesday, with a doubleheader slated to begin at 3:30 PM on the campus of CCRI.

Game 1: NHTI 8, Massasoit 0
NHTI's Tori Lemay fired a no hitter from the circle to lead the Lynx to an 8-0 victory in game one.

Lemay went the distance, pitching five innings, walking only two and striking out seven in the victory.

Laura Nieske (Watertown) and Shelby Ross (Kingston) each drew a walk for the Warriors. 

Game 2: NHTI 8, Massasoit 0
The Lynx touched home eight times in the first two innings to cruise to an 8-0 win in game two on Sunday.

Neive Doyle (Weymouth), Amanda Spaulding (Whitman) and Jess Pedraza (Rockland) all registerd a hit in the loss, as the Warriors dropped to 0-4.

Mallory Fey (Plymouth) pitched two scoreless innings in relief, striking out two and allowing only one hit over the two frames of work.
