BOSTON ---- The Massasoit CC men's and women's cross country teams raced in the Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park on Friday.
In the team's fourth race of the season, Kerry O'Neil (Stoughton) posted Massasoit's top finish at Franklin Park, taking home 52nd out of 201 runners on the women's side. O'Neil recorded a time of 22:26 for 5k race, with her time being the fastest of any female junior college runner to take part in the invitational.
For the men, two runners represented Massasoit, led by James Sepulveda (Brockton/Southeastern Voc.). The freshman finished 120th out of 203 runners, in a time of 32:03 in the 8k race.
Also on men's side, Alex Youngworth clocked a time of 44:01 in his first race for the Warriors.
"We look to get some quality speed workouts in this week and focus a lot on pacing before resting for Regionals and Nationals," head coach Matt Jordan said.
The Warriors will next compete in the Junior College Northeast Invitational hosted by CCRI on Saturday, Oct. 31.
