NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT ---- Kevin Baldwin and Hansen Bastia (Brockton) broke school records and Jerry Dixon (Danvers) posted two top-six finishes for the Massasoit men's track and field team, as the Warriors closed out the 2018 regular season competing at the Yale Springtime Invitational on Sunday.

Baldwin put his name at the top of yet another category in the Massasoit track & field record book, finishing the 1,500 meter race in a school best 4:32.14, over 33 seconds faster than the previous record. It marks the fifth individual school record for Baldwin in his two-year career for the Warriors, holding best school marks in the 800m, 3,000m steeplechase, 5,000m and 10,000m.

Bastia sprung himself 12.77 meters in the triple jump, breaking his own school record that he set a week ago at MIT. The jump placed the Brockton native fifth overall in the event.

Dixon finished third overall in the high jump at 1.74 meters and sixth in the long jump (5.96 meters). The long jump distance marked the second longest in program history.

Other top-10 finishes, included Brandon Calley (Bridgewater) in the 400 meter hurdles (9th), Antonio Alves of Quincy in the javelin (4th) and long jump (9th) and Kevin Jacquet in the javelin (3rd).

Massasoit is off until the NJCAA National Championship, hosted by Mohawk Valley CC in Utica, N.Y., from May 10-12.
