BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Massasoit sophomore track & field standout Nick Vaughn was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, announced by the national office on Thursday.
Vaughn, of Kingston, has maintained a 3.88 GPA during his time at Massasoit and a two-year member of the Warriors' outdoor track & field team. The two-time Dean's List honoree, owns the school record in the 100m race (11.15) and finished 11th in the event at the NJCAA Division III National Championship this season.
In addition, Vaughn was the anchor for the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams, which set school records and finished 11th in each race at Nationals.
Vaughn became Massasoit's first male student-athlete to qualify for the NJCAA Nationals both seasons as a Warrior.
Vaughn will now move onto to the CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot.
