BROCKTON, Mass. ----
The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its Week 3 NJCAA National rankings on Wednesday, with Massasoit Community College men’s track and field team ranking 18th and the women’s team ranking 20th.

Wednesday marked the second consecutive week that the Warriors appeared in the USTFCCA top-25 rankings, with both Massasoit teams staying in the same positions as the list from Week 2.

After another impressive showing, Nick Vaughn elevated his spot in the NJCAA Division III rankings to the fifth fastest 100-meter dash time. At the Smith Pioneer Invitational this past weekend, the freshmen from Kingston clocked a school record 11.15 in the 100m, taking second overall at the meet.

Vaughn is just .07 seconds away from being in the top three in the 100-meter rankings.

Fellow freshman Alex MacMillan (Brockton) improved his javelin distance to 44.78 meters (146’11”), placing him tied for seventh on the USTFCCCA list.

On the women’s side, Kerry O’Neil (Stoughton) improved her 5,000-meter time by over 10 seconds at the Smith Pioneer Invitational, 22:54.53, as she ranks 12th in the event.
