BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Freshman Junior Pereira was involved in five of goals, including a hat trick, as the Massasoit men's soccer team crushed the Quincy College Granite, 6-1, on Monday at Warrior Field.
Pereira, a Brockton native, netted all three of this goals in the opening half as Massasoit led 5-0 at the break. Also getting in on the scoring action was sophomore Leon Zaffonato (Brazil) and Saidon Bamba (Brockton) in the first stanza.
Following intermission, another freshman from Brockton named Junior, Junior Barbosa, rocketed in a goal to round out the scoring.
Pereira added a pair of assists on the day for a total of eight points in the victory.
In net, David Isaac of Brockton made five stops for the Warriors.
Massasoit (5-5) hosts Bunker Hill on Thursday at 3:30 PM.
