WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. ---- Sidney Cardoso (Portugal) scored his team-best 16th goal of the season as the Massasoit men's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against the Williams College JV team.

Massasoit now owns an overall record of 6-4-2 and is off until Saturday when the Warriors travel to Springfield Tech CC for a 3 PM kickoff.

Cardoso netted Massasoit's lone goal of the game off a pass from fellow sophomore Ienik Spencer (Pawtucket, R.I.) in the 20th minute of action.

Leading 1-0 at the break, Williams scored in the 55th minute to knot up the contest.

"We gave up a tough goal in the second half, but it was one of our better overall games as a team this year," head coach Rui Estrela said. "Williams had some big guys and played fast soccer, but we were able to match them throughout the game."

The game ended in a tie, the second of the season for the Warriors.

Massasoit outshot Williams, 14-3, with eight of the Warriors shots coming on net.

Estefanio Barbosa (Brockton) made one save in his first start of the season in net.
