BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit men's soccer team scored all seven goals in the second half, three coming from sophomore forward Sidney Cardoso (Portugal), as the Warriors topped Holyoke, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Massasoit (5-3-1) could not find the back of the net in the opening stanza, rocketing off 18 shots, six coming on net. But the play of Holyoke (0-8-1) goalie Francisco Cruz kept the game scoreless at the break by making six saves.

After a halftime speech by head coach Rui Estrela, the Warriors were hungry for goals in the second half. It took Massasoit just two minutes into the period for Blake Brailsford (East Bridgewater) to put the Warriors on the scoreboard.

Following the break through goal by Brailsford, the flood gates opened as Cardoso netted three goals in a row for the Warriors.

Edgar Lopez (Seekonk) posted his first multi-goal game, by scoring the next two and Flavio Rosario (Brockton) rounded out with a goal of his own as Massasoit has now won three in a row.

Miguel Pavao (Portugal) added two assists in the victory, as the Warriors are off until hosting ASA New York on Saturday at 2 PM.

Ollie Dagraca and Estefanio Barbosa, both from Brockton, combined on the shutout.
