Four Men’s Soccer Players Named To NSCAA All-East Regional Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. ---- Four members of the Massasoit men's soccer team were named to the NSCAA All-East Regional Teams, recently announced by the league headquarters.

Andrew Revenales (Sharon HS/Trinidad & Tobago) and Sidney Cardoso (Portugal) earned First Team All-East Regional and William Baah (Pawtucket, R.I.) and Jose Erazo (Hyannis) were named to the second team.

Revanales, who was also recently named an NSCAA All-American First Team selection, finished with 22 goals and 14 assists during his sophomore season with the Warriors.

Cardoso (Portugal) ended his freshman campaign second on the Warriors in goals (16) and points (40). He teamed up with Revanales to be one of the top scoring duos in the nation. Cardoso scored the first two goals for the Warriors in the 4-3 victory over Dean College in the Region 21 Finals.

Erazo (Hyannis/Barnstable HS) was a menace as an outside midfielder for the Warriors. The freshman netted seven goals and seven assists for a total of 21 points. The biggest goal of his career came in the Northeast District semifinals against Monroe CC. Leading 1-0, Erazo lofted a shot off of a rebound over the outstretched reach of the Monroe goalie to add a much needed insurance goal for the Warriors. The victory in the semifinals secured a spot for Massasoit at the NJCAA Nationals for the first time in 20 years.

Baah was the last line of defense for the Warriors, serving as a central defensive back for two seasons at Massasoit. The sophomore was instrumental in the team finishing with seven clean sheets on the year. Baah battled through injuries during his second season, but saved his best soccer for the playoff push that saw Massasoit capture the Region 21 crown and advance to the NJCAA Nationals for the first time since 1995.
