Men’s Soccer Travels To Divisional Foe CCRI Wednesday

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit men's soccer team will battle Region XXI divisional foe Community College of Rhode Island on the road, Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Massasoit (1-1) enters the early season pivotal match, splitting its first two games of the season on the road, defeating Essex County, 10-0, before falling to No. 19 Mercer County, 6-0.

CCRI enters Wednesday's contest with an identical record of 1-1, defeating Southern Maine CC 4-0 back on August 30. This past weekend, the Knights were shutout by ASA College, dropping a 3-0 decision.

In Region XXI, only the top two of the three Division I programs (Massasoit, CCRI & Dean College) advance to the regional championship, depending on league standings at the end of the regular season.

Last Meeting: Massasoit 1, CCRI 1 (Massasoit won in PK's, 4-2)
The last meeting between the Warriors and Knights was a dramatic one, as Massasoit topped CCRI in penalty kicks to claim the Region XXI Championship at Warrior Field in Brockton.
