Unselfish Basketball Gives Warriors Fourth Straight Win

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Massasoit utilized a total team effort dishing out a season-high 29 assists as the Warriors won their fourth straight game, defeating Gateway in convincing fashion, 82-48, on Tuesday.

Six players recorded multiple assists for Massasoit as the team improved to 4-3 on the season.

Alec Newman opened the game with a deep 3 for Lions, but that was the lone time Gateway would lead in the game. Following the trey, Massasoit responded with an 11-0 run and never looked back.

The Warriors also took care of the basketball, recording only 13 turnovers for the game and just four in the first half. Massasoit led 43-23 at the break.

Jovani Harper-Lopez (Randolph) and Rael Handy (Easton) each filled up the box score and both tied for team-high honors with 20 points. Harper-Lopez added nine rebounds and five assists, while Handy dished out a team-best six helpers and grabbed six boards.

Center Mark Munroe (Quincy) helped control the paint, grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds and netting 14 points for a double-double. Mark Georges (Avon) chipped in with 14 points, while Rollsky Edouard (Holbrook) added seven rebounds and five assists. Ridge Francisque (Brockton) had five assists and four steals.

Newman led Gateway with 13 points.
