Late Bristol Run Sinks Warriors in Opener, 75-64

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- A 25-point effort by Rael Handy (Easton) was not enough as Bristol used a late run to top the Massasoit men's basketball team 75-64 on Tuesday night at the Asiaf Field House.

The Warriors (0-1) will need to have a short memory as they return to the hardwood for a road contest at Bunker Hill on Thursday at 7:30 PM.

With the score knotted at 62-all, Bristol closed out the game on a 13-2 run, featuring a pair of 3s by Quincy Pope, to give the Bayhawks (1-0) the victory.

Mark Georges (Avon) added 12 points and Rollsky Edouard (Holbrook) chipped in with 11 in the loss.

Jonathan Viega led Bristol with 24 points, 18 coming in the second half, followed by Pope (17) and Josh Winbush (16).
