CCRI Downs Men’s Hoops, 87-64

WARWICK, R.I. ---- CCRI closed out the first half with a big run which eventually lead to a 87-64 victory against the visiting Massasoit men's basketball team on Tuesday Night at the Cullen Field House.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Warriors (4-3) and are now off until Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Great Bay CC scheduled for 8 PM.

CCRI (4-1) closed out the first half on a 13-0 run to balloon what was a seven-point cushion, 31-24, to a halftime advantage of 20 (44-24). Mike Ward (Brockton) netted half of Massasoit's points in the opening stanza with 12.

The closest the Warriors would get in the second half was 17.

Ward finished with a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Omar Jules (Brockton) netted 14 off the bench, featuring four 3-pointers and Jovani Harper-Lopez (Randolph) added 13 points, sinking a trio of 3s.

Massasoit only shot 39.1 percent for the game and only attempted three free throws, making two.
