BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit baseball team clubbed four home runs on Sunday afternoon, two off the bat of Ricky Sherlock, as the Warriors swept a doubleheader against MassBay, 13-1 and 20-2.

Sherlock, of Whitman, belted a grand slam in the top of the first inning in game one to set the tone for the afternoon, and added a two-run bomb in the game two as the Warriors closed out the regular season with a 16-12 record and 12-3 in league play.

Joining Sherlock with homers included a two-run long ball from Luis Ramirez (Dedham) and an inside-the-park round tripper from Luke Lewando (Brockton).

The Warriors also received some excellent pitching on the day from starters Jake Morris (Bourne) and John Tinker (Weymouth).

Morris (4-1) fanned six in five innings of work and allowed only one run off three hits, while Tinker also went five, struck out two and did not walk a batter to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Dylan Ashburn (Norton) also produced a strong day at the plate as well, going 5-for-6 with three doubles and four RBI over the two games.

The Warriors, which earned the No. 2 seed in the NJCAA Region 21 Tournament hosted at Massasoit, will be off until Friday, when they face No. 3 seed Quinsigamond at Strong Field in East Bridgewater at 3:30 PM.
