BROCKTON, Mass. ---- A total of 18 Massasoit Community College student-athletes were named to the Athletic Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester.
For the 2014-15 academic year, a total of 38 student-athletes maintained a GPA of 3.0 for at least one semester.
Of the 18 student-athletes that were named to the spring honor roll, 10 earned a spot on the Dean’s List, posting a 3.4 GPA or higher for the semester.
Rokas Piragis (Brockton) of the men’s track team and Mike Cappadona (Foxboro) of the golf team each posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. In addition, both Piragis and Cappadona qualified for the NJCAA Nationals in their respective sports.
The men’s track team under first-year head coach Matt Jordan posted the most individuals on the Athletic Academic Honor Roll with five.
