Title: Assistant Coach
Year: 2nd Season

Adam Blanchette enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Massasoit men's and women's track & field program.

In his first season assisting head coach Matt Jordan in 2016, the Warriors produced one of the top years in program history. Massasoit sent a school record nine student-athletes to the NJCAA National Tournament, hosted at Westfield State (Westfield, Mass.)

Blanchette, who worked primarily with the throwers, saw freshman Aaron Prescott place seventh overall at Nationals in the discus toss, rifling off a school record throw of 35.74m. For his efforts, Prescott was named a USTFCCCA All-American.

In total, Massasoit tallied 30 top-5 finishes throughout the season and both the men's and women's teams finished the year ranked 15th in the final USTFCCCA NJCAA DIII Rankings.

A native of Brockton, Blanchette was a two-year student-athlete for the Warriors on the track & field team from 2014-15.

In 2015, Blanchette set the then school record in the discus toss at the Regis Pride Classic and at the same meet was a member of the Massasoit record setting 4x400 relay team.

Blanchette was also a member of the 2014 track & field team, the first in Massasoit program history.

At the conclusion of 2014, Blanchette garnered the Massasoit male student-athlete President's Award winner for his excellence in the classroom and leadership and hard work on the track.
