BROCKTON, Mass. – Erica Rivers has been appointed as the next Athletics Director at Massasoit Community College. Rivers will begin her tenure on Monday, July 17.
Rivers is a graduate of Brockton High School, where she was a member of the women's varsity basketball team.
After graduation, Rivers continued her education at Springfield College (NCAA DIII), where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Business.
Rivers later completed her Master's in Management from Cambridge College.
In addition to her educational background, Rivers has been both an NCAA Division III student-athlete and an NJCAA Region XXI athletic administrator for many years. Rivers was formally the Director of Athletics and Student Life at Roxbury Community College, where she also served as the Region XXI Women's Assistant Regional Director under the tutelage of former Massasoit Community College Athletic Director, Julie Mulvey.
"As the Athletics Director, I will make every effort to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as collaborate with students, professors, coaches, school administrators, and the community to build upon on the success and integrity of the athletic department," said Rivers.
